Casual Lunches and cheerful cocktails at the Beach
House - Light, varied dining - a host of salads, sandwiches,
daily fish and dessert specials allow you to choose from a simple
snack to a relaxed, longer affair perhaps accompanied by a fine pinot
grigio, Napa chardonnay or chilled beaujolais - all while sitting on
the Beach Terrace feasting your eyes on the many blues and the bright
white sand.
Bibiana is Queen of the Beach House Bar and her crushed Pina
Coladas are justly famous island-wide; rich, creamy and tingling with
pineapple & coconut. Her Beach House Coolers are hot-property
amongst the non-alcoholic offerings. So, while you snooze in a
chaise, float in the ocean or swing in a hammock, relax in the
knowledge that your drink will be delivered with a huge smile and
some friendly chat.
Gourmet Evening Dining - Long Bay Hotel excels in
offering International cuisine spiced with Caribbean pizzaz! Our
chefs use fresh local and Caribbean produce whenever possible and our
fish and lobster are caught by a local fisherman from the nearby
village, and, on occasion, guests! Meals are prepared using the
finest American meats and New Zealand lamb. We always offer a
fish/vegetarian/light option on our nightly table d'hote menus and
our ala carte caters to all tastes.
Our menus are first class and the service is friendly and
sincere, not formal and robotic!
Long Bay Hotel offers an interesting, varied and affordable
global wine-list which offers an off-beat selection of classics and
new finds. We hold regular wine tastings where the emphasis is on
fun, enjoyment and a little knowledge.
Charles Thomas, our head cook of 22 years, and Alvin Merrick, our
second cook, have both graduated from The Culinary Institute of
America and both have been on secondment during the summer to other
fine Caribbean restaurants to expand their knowledge and skills.
Drinks in our relaxed and atmospheric Cocktail Bar
- Our lounge is on 3 levels allowing you to always find a quiet
undisturbed corner or, to meet with fellow guests at the bar and
marvel at Big Sam's 36 year skills in blending just the right
concoction. The Games room offers a more active cocktail environment:
